Where are the search volume counts in Keyword Strategy Studio?
Keyword Strategy Studio is not a search volume estimator of any kind. It is a powerful software for strategic keyword brainstorming, planning and management.
Finding Search Volume Counts
It is not possible to accurately find the actual search volume of any keyword phrase. The only way you can hope to get that data accurately is from any of the top search engines. However search engines like Google provide only very limited quantitative search count data.
While there are third party tools that provide search volume counts, these are based on extremely small samples and then the data is extrapolated. In small niche fields the data is also highly polluted because of Marketers doing keyword research. If you take these values and then run a PPC campaign you will very often find large differences between the estimates and the actual impressions.
It would have been easy for us to provide similar numbers in Keyword Strategy Studio also. However we decided against providing numbers that can never be independently verified.
The best way to find approximate search volume counts is by running a test PPC campaign and looking for the impressions you get at various positions.
